HVAC Solutions has a current opening in Colorado Springs, CO for a HVAC Installer

Basic Function Local family owned full service HVAC contractor is seeking entry level installer for commercial systems to join our company. Installer would be installing new A/C equipment and ductwork on new construction We are seeking an installer who has at least 1 year experience in the field. Any similar construction field work experience will be considered. New installer candidate will work in a training position along with Lead or Journeyman installers. Candidates should be eager to learn and have the potential to become Lead Installer within a short time frame. Installer candidate should desire to be and look professional and willing to provide a high level of quality and service to our customers. We have multiple contracts for prevailing wage, Davis Bacon work, as well as, private sector and schools.

Responsibilities

  • Install sheet metal, spiral and flex duct systems in commercial buildings
  • Install HVAC related equipment according to manufacturer's specifications
  • Properly learn to connect line and low voltage wiring to heating and cooling equipment
  • Properly learn to connect gas lines to heating equipment
  • Demonstrate and establish good working relationships with customers, co-workers and superiors
  • Work safely following company safety rules and OSHA policies

Job Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year experience installing in HVAC, related mechanical systems or construction related trades
  • High School Diploma, GED, Tech Vocational or Equivalent
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Honest clean and dependable
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Some basic understanding of HVAC equipment and systems
  • Self-Motivated and able to take direction to work independently or be part of a team
  • Valid CO driver's License with a good driving record
  • Must be able to read and write in English
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50-75lbs
  • Able to work outdoors and tolerate temperatures below 32 degrees for extended periods of time
  • Ability to be neat and professional
  • Able to work overtime some weekends
  • Able to continually climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and or crawl
