HOW YOUR HEATING & COOLING SYSTEMS AFFECT YOUR UTILITY BILL

A home's utility bill is comprised of several different appliances including:

Your furnace and/or air conditioner is only one of the items on this list, it can contribute up to half the load, especially if you live in cold climates. If you were to separate out all the appliances that provide heat, you’ll see that in Colorado, a furnace used typically (i.e. approximately 8 months out of the year) can contribute up to half of your total heat bill. HVAC Solutions can help lower the cost of your heating and air conditioning utility bills by installing a newer energy-efficient systems

Most people aren’t aware of this— but your air conditioner will only be as powerful as the furnace you have. Why? Because air conditioning units utilize the air-moving power of the furnace fan.

If your furnace isn’t up to par, your air conditioning won’t be stellar, no matter how costly your cooling unit. Because of this, when our customer ask for pricing on A/C units, we like to see their current furnace first to determine if they should replace the furnace first.

It’s for this reason that we offer different kinds of Air Conditioning systems. For example, if your basement is cold and your attic is very warm, perhaps the most economical choice for you is to install a spot cooling system, in the attic only. The best system for your home can only be determined by having one of our technicians visit your home and make a suggestion based on the conditions.
